Moon Stars is the ninth painting from the Rise Collection. Also the second and final painted on pages from Owens' Where the Crawdads Sing. I shared with you in an earlier painting (Embrace the Suck) the symbolism of the arches, so this time lets chat about the text - "If anyone understood loneliness, the moon would" - when I painted Moon Stars I had been thinking quite a lot of loneliness and what a bad reputation it has. My personal challenge to flip that on its head; to paint loneliness as strength, solace and opportunity.
Thank you for your support xx
