About

Natasha Mott lives and works in Perth, Western Australia. She holds a BA and B.Ed both from Edith Cowan University majoring in Drawing and Middle Years Education. Natasha is a self-taught painter. Finalist in The Doyles Art Award 2026, Waverley Art School 9x5” Exhibition 2026 and has been selected by Aspire Gallery to submit works for Australia’s Affordable Art Fairs from Brisbane to Melbourne since 2024.
Natasha is interested in how people connect with places, and how the experiences we gather in those landscapes form a personal geography. Growing up on a farm in WA, she learned early how environments shape us — how a place can feel both ordinary and extraordinary, and how returning to it can stir something instantly recognisable. Much of her inspiration now comes from the coastal towns she visits regularly with family: long drives, the first glimpse of the ocean, the scent of salted air, and the ritual of returning to the same beaches year after year. Natasha paints memories of landscapes that have settled into her over time. Through expressive colour and layered brushstrokes, she translates visually the feelings and connections we build with the places we return to.
